BRUNCH WORTHY TABLE INSPO WITH MOLLY MATHIAS

Decorations? Check. Food? Check. Drinks? Check. Now all that’s left to do is get the table set + ready for a meal for you and your girls. No matter how delicious the food is, the old saying rings true - we eat with our eyes FIRST, so creating a beautiful setting is key. Whether you’ve planned a formal get together at your dining room table or at a restaurant, or opted for a boho vibe picnic spread, here are some easy tips + tricks to make the PERFECT setting.

Here to guide us in the right direction is Molly Mathias - entrepreneur, vintage queen, interior designer, and owner/head buyer for the cutest little boutique, Magic Hour, in the Bishop Arts neighborhood of Dallas, TX. Magic Hour specializes in elevated handmade goods created by small businesses and artisans.

Step Two:

If you don't have a huge budget, choose one thing to splurge on. Molly recommends splurging on florals or greenery - and to always have at least one living thing (florals/greenery) on the table because it adds life and movement to still objects. You can even make your own arrangements or bouquets to save some money!

 

Step One:

Layer the table. Good design always includes layers and different textures. Include items of different heights to make things interesting and pleasing to the eye - the eye likes to travel up and down.

Step Three:

Step Five:

Don't crowd the table. You want your guests to have room to relax and linger as the brunch goes on.

Step 6:

Draw inspiration from your favorite restaurants - you can get a lot of inspo just by paying attention to the cute cafe in your neighborhood and seeing how they set a table below for drink recipe inspiration! Now on to the recipes!
