Rendezveuve

HELLO PALM SPRINGS!

This past weekend, we traveled to California to celebrate Abbie’s birthday!

Here is the breakdown of our entire weekend from the home rental, to all the good food we had.

THE HOUSE

We stayed in hands down one of the CUTEST Airbnb’s in Palm Springs. The PALM SPRING CHIC home has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and is decorated with color!

THURSDAY

After we were wheels down, we headed to Norma’s at The Parker hotel where we were met with delicious drinks and beautiful weather. We sat on their covered patio and enjoyed their brunch styled menu and drinks. It was a great meal to kick start our weekend!

While the GYB team went home to decorate the place from wall to wall, the remaining group grabbed drinks at Tropicale

SURPRISE!

When the group arrived home, they were met with décor overload! Abbie made her own décor package for us, but we kinda took the reigns and added a little more ;) She sure deserved it!

After a tear-jerking fifteen minute long birthday video we made for her, we cranked up the music and got ready for our dinner plans!

Dinner Time!

We headed over to Gigi’s, located in Sonder/V Palm Springs. The palm tree wallpaper, pink velvet chairs, dim lighting, and indoor/outdoor style restaurant were giving us alllll the good vibes. If you are looking for somewhere with truffle and seafood dishes, this is your place! If you are not a fan of those, don’t worry, they have other options too! Their staff was great from the moment we walked in, until we left, they even gave us complimentary lemon drop shots with a sugar rim that were *chef’s kiss*

After dinner, we went to the Retro Room Lounge for some karaoke! Abbie may or may not have sung a male/female duet by herself with voice changes ;)

FRIDAY

Rise and shine! Today’s agenda: chill day.

We had a bagel and fruit breakfast at the house, changed into our swimsuits and hit the (heated) pool! It was a nice and relaxing day, and it was a beautiful 68 degrees.

In the afternoon, we had Adam from Palm Springs Wine Tasting come to the house for our very own wine tasting class. We sat outside and drank bottles of Brut, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, and Merlot. This experience was truly informative, and we enjoyed every second of it!

If you are looking for something like this, Adam is your guy!

We went back to hanging by the pool for a short time before our dinner plans with Desert Dine. We had a private chef duo come to the house and they blew us away! We hire them for several of our parties, but this is the first time we have all been able to eat a meal by them. We started off with a handmade charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, and fruits (YUM). Our mini appetizers we had were ahi tuna bowls with a little bit of crunch from a wonton chip. And a beet salad with goat cheese and walnuts drizzled with a balsamic reduction that had us drooling. For the main course, we had steak and mashed potatoes with asparagus, and grilled salmon with a bed of wild rice. My mouth is watering just thinking back to it!

SATURDAY

Let’s Brunch!

We headed to Eight4Nine, where you could run into a celebrity when you’re there. No, seriously, if you take a look at their Instagram, you see stars like Miley Cyrus, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Erika Jayne, Matthew Morrison, and more have made a trip to their restaurant. After our meals, we can see why! Not only is the atmosphere great, but everything about this place was to die for! Their interior design, drinks, and food had us speechless.

We went back to the house for a few hours of chill before our night out.

Abbie wanted one night of the trip to require sparkles or sequins, and what the birthday girl wants, the birthday girl gets! We got all dolled up and drove to Azucar, located in the Las Serena Villas for our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was giving us desert boho chic mixed with hints of traditional art. We headed up to their rooftop and had a personalized menu awaiting us for a special touch to the night! The drinks were AMAZING and the food was delicious too.

We made our way to the Kimpton Rowan Hotel Rooftop Bar for drinks. Unfortunately, we had just missed the last call for their outdoor pool bar. Luckily, they had room to seat us inside, where we had complimentary champagne and craft cocktails.

SUNDAY

The worst day of all trips: the day you leave.

We spent the morning cleaning up the decorations, packing, and one-by-one, saying our goodbye’s and see you later’s. We had later flights than the rest, so the remaining group went to Boozehounds for one final meal. This retro dog friendly restaurant had a tasty brunch menu and great coffee and lattes.

& that’s a wrap! We had the BEST weekend in Palm Springs, and each trip proves more and more why it is one of our top locations for bachelorettes and girls’ trips. We hope you enjoyed this breakdown!

Til next time Palm Springs <3
